For the first time in a generation, inflation is a problem. This short video from the CBC discusses some good ideas that we all might be able to use, such as creating a Facebook page that lists the high-demand items donors could provide. In 2022 we would like to help more communities make use of Food Rescue by coordinating activities like OSHaRE, the Salvation Army, and Simona/Teresa do in Owen Sound. Local food banks are "stuffing the cruiser/ambulance," they are providing lists to their groceries of items they need. Others are talking to their groceries to place orders ahead of time so they don't raid their local grocery store's loss leaders. In 2022 we want to share all of the best practices so everyone can benefit from the experience everyone has.
