This week's subject was inspired by Simona Freiburg, the Grey/Bruce Community Gardens Coordinator. Victory gardens were all about helping families deal with difficult situations when food was scarce. In 2022, most of us have access to food; however, growing segments of our communities are falling behind or experiencing food insecurity. This PBS "Growing a Greener World" video features a sustainable front yard Victory Garden and shows how this family is growing vegetables and making a difference in their community.
